PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY

ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE: Disabled and/or elderly persons who believe that their polling places are inaccessible are encouraged to vote early or may vote at the Election Commission Office on Election Day. Voters who intend to vote at the Election Commission Office on Election Day must notify the commission in writing no later than February 22, 2020.

PHOTO ID LAW: You must present a current or expired photo ID issued by the federal or Tennessee state government when you vote in person. College student IDs, IDs issued by local governments, and IDs issued by other states are not accepted. ABSENTEE BY MAIL REQUESTS: A written request to vote Absentee by Mail in this election must be received by the Election Commission no later than February 25, 2020. For more information, please contact the Election Office at 731-772-1760

ONLINE VOTER REGISTRATION: The Tennessee Online Voter Registration System offers a convenient way for voters to easily register or change their address if they have moved. The system allows U.S. citizens with a driverís license or photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security to register to vote online or update their voter registration online. February 3 is the voter registration deadline for the March election. Visit GoVoteTN.com

OFFICE HOURS: The Haywood County Election Office is located on the lower level of the Haywood County Courthouse. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. ñ 4:30 p.m. (closed for lunch 11:30 ñ 12:30). We will be closed Monday, January 20, 2020 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
